~ Inspired Thought of the Day ~

~ Inspired Action ~

I am so amazed by these words. These words of inspiration are what I live for! I am so so grateful!

The old me used to believe you either have courage or you don’t! Now my eyes are wide open and inspired by the thought that courage is just like a muscle! Your courage/muscle may be weak now but with consistent practice and use it can be strengthened! And so I shall!

Amazing perspective especially now that I am studying health and fitness. This message has clicked into place deep down inside of me and I am so happy and empowered to strengthened the little courage I have bit by bit!

And I am even more in a state of appreciation and empowerment by Oprah’s words below.

I have always been so quick to give up. Fear has always overpowered me when I was younger and I did not understand that there was a way to build it little by little. How I wish I had someone to say to me that Courage is feeling the fear and doing it anyway. How I wish to believe I would of taken action more because of these wise words. I am grateful to have read these words now and understand them. I am grateful to feel more prepared to act even with fear knowing that doing it anyway is an act of courage.

Now I will push forward understanding that my life will expand in proportion to my courage. Because indeed my life is in a place where I believe it has shrunk and it is limited because of the fear that I’ve allowed to take over me. So much of what I envision is only possible when I act with courage! And so I will nurture this muscle of courage use by use so that it is strengthened.

~I pray you are empowered as well~

~Today’s Inspired Thought~

~ Amen ~

Yes, This is such a ~powerful~ message.

~Inspired Action~

When pleasant circumstances come our way; moments that seem so unbelievable; like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders! Are we quick to Thank God or our we quick to give ourselves the credit?

Many unhappy circumstances appear from the fault of our own and not God.

We must take responsibility for our own actions rather than scream “WHY GOD??? WHY ME??!!”

Those troubled times are most likely due to the fact that our steps were not aligned with Him. Our steps were not steps of gratitude for Him in our lives.

I am now quick to Thank God for the experiences that makes me smile. And when I am at the brink of tears, I am not quick to blame God but to blame myself and take responsibility for my own actions. Actions that were not worthy of His Blessings.

I learn from the experience and do my best to get back in line with Him.

When we are not living lives that is not worthy of God’s approval we are highly susceptible to unpleasant circumstances.  It is not really His Hand that showered you with that punishment but the hand of your own. Due the choices you have made that were not worthy of a blessing.

I believe our God is a beautiful positive God who is quick to bless whereas the Devil is quick to punish.

The more we keep our steps aligned with God, the more we will receive His blessings. The more we express gratitude for those blessings, the least we will cry tears of frustration, shock and shame.

~Today’s Inspired Thought~

This is the reason why I am getting more comfortable living life as a single woman right now ♥

Because I love myself enough to see that “being single doesn’t mean that [I] know nothing about love. [But that] sometimes, being solo is wiser than being in a false relationship.

For the past 10 years I have placed myself in one false relationship to another. Due to my own false definitions of love. I was so in love with love that I blinded myself from the truth!

Just because he finds you physically attractive and you find him physically attractive does not guarantee that it is love. Just because you talk or text everyday does not guarantee that it is love.

You “love” the fact that he is attractive and you “love” the fact that you can talk everyday but that doesn’t mean it’s True Love!

It is the experience that I loved! The experience that he looks better, talks better, and acts better than the last guy or men you’ve dated in the past but that does NOT guarantee that it is True LOVE.

I can’t afford another false relationship anymore. I have cried enough tears and suffered enough from low esteem and doubts of my own abilities. I take full responsible for putting my soul in so much emotional turmoil because I kept choosing Mr. Wrong.  I’ve spent too much time with Mr. Wrong  and hindered possibly many opportunities for me to cross paths with Mr. Right.

~ Inspired Action ~

Thank you God, for the person who has shared both of these wise words today because I needed them today, yesterday and the day before that especially! I have been fighting temptation the past few days. I have visited his facebook page playing tug of war with the thought To write?! or Not to write?!

These words were God Sent! I am grateful to my facebook friend for sharing both of these quotes! I’ve deleted my ex’s phone number month’s ago and the only thing that is keeping me from writing to him on facebook is considering the fact that he could be Mr. Wrong and if I go back to him I will never find Mr. Right.

And with one life to live, I can’t afford that!

I fully recognize that my desire to write to him is fueled by the disappoinment and regret that our relationship did not work just like the ones before him.  And my heart is sinking right now after writing those words ….just like the ones before him…I hate how I have to add him to my talli of failed relationships!

But once again I can’t afford to never find Mr. Right if I can’t let go of Mr. Wrong!

I have found strength today to continue to learn to live in love with myself and allow Mr. Right to come on God’s Time. I believe that as long as I keep my steps aligned with God and stay aligned to my line of positive purpose we will cross paths. ~♥~ ♥~ It is inevitable ~♥~ ♥~

~May True Love find you when you least expect it. May True Love find you as such a pleasant surprise.~

My sincerest respects to all the men and the women who has served our country. I (a black woman) would not have the freedom to write this or the freedom to enjoy this day off if it wasn’t for the people who died in the Civil War and the men and women who continue to fight for American justice and freedom.

Today would not be a holiday if it wasn’t for them sacrificing their lives for the sake of their future, their families future and the future of their fellow Americans. And it is unfortunate that they could not see how effective their efforts have been and how appreciated they are. So if they are truly watching down on us and can truly see our appreciation, I sincerely pay my respects to them. This day will not be wasted on getting drunk just because it was a day off from work.*

What is Memorial Day?

Memorial Day is a federal holiday observed annually in the United States on the last Monday of May.[1] Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.[2] Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died in all wars. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.

Many people visit cemeteries and memorials, particularly to honor those who have died in military service. Many volunteers place an American flag on each grave in national cemeteries.[3]

By the early 20th century, Memorial Day was an occasion for more general expressions of memory, as people visited the graves of their deceased relatives in church cemeteries, whether they had served in the military or not. It also became a long weekend increasingly devoted to shopping, family gatherings, fireworks, trips to the beach, and national media events such as the Indianapolis 500 auto race, held since 1911 on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.[4]

Annual Decoration Days for particular cemeteries are held on a Sunday in late spring or early summer in some rural areas of the American South, notably in the mountains. In cases involving a family graveyard where remote ancestors as well as those who were deceased more recently are buried, this may take on the character of an extended family reunion to which some people travel hundreds of miles. People gather on the designated day and put flowers on graves and renew contacts with kinfolk and others. There often is a religious service and a “dinner on the ground,” the traditional term for a potluck meal in which people used to spread the dishes out on sheets or tablecloths on the grass. It is believed that this practice began before the American Civil War and thus may reflect the real origin of the “memorial day” idea. [5]

Today was such an awesome day watching the talent of our children!

Today was the 1st Annual Talent Contest of our Haitian children in celebration of our Haitian Heritage!

Thanks to our Mayor, May is now recognized as Haitian Heritage Month here in Massachusetts! It was on May 18th 1804 that our Haitian Flag was officially created and throughout this month I’ve attended our Flag Raising Event at the Boston City Hall, our Haitian-American Unity Parade and Youth and Family Enrichment Serveice’s (YOFES) 1st Annual Festival promoting the talent of our children!

It was beautiful and inspiring to see the courage it took for these kids as young as 6 jump on stage dancing, singing, reciting poetry, demonstrating their work of art and more in representation of our history!!

It was so sweet and it was such a great way to educate and inspire pride in their heritage and remind me and my fellow adults of what we need to constantly be proud of.

The American lifestyle can almost make one forget where ones’ culture began; especially if one was born in America and never visited their country…. from stressing over student loans, credit card bills, working over time, hearing of the latest electronic gadgets, etc. one can get so distracted to the point of losing  ones’ identity!

Attending this cultural event has reinforced the  pride in my heritage, has reawakened the definition of who I am and inspired me to take part in raising the bar of advancement in our culture.

Today was such a great day! I feel so refreshed and so excited to get involved in our next events!  🙂

I hope your day was great as well! Thanks for your visit!

Today’s Thank You Game challenge is to thank someone who brings beauty into your life. (http://on.fb.me/ThankYouGame)

I responded by saying on facebook that

I thank my mother and father for giving me life.
My heart continues to beat because they gave birth to me
I still stand because they created and nurtured me to this very moment.
I am 27 years old because I was ONE day old.

I fully acknowledge that I didn’t put myself on this earth…..my parents, my grandparents, my ancestors and God brought me here. So I now do my best to act with gratitude even when days get rough between us…I do my best to respond with gratitude. ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Day by day, I have come to realize that I didn’t put myself on this earth…I didn’t give birth to myself and so I have been blessed with life, I was given the gift of life and that is a priceless gift. A gift that I must say thank to my parents every day that I live. Wow…I vow to say thank you to my parents everyday I see them and say “Thank you Daddy, Thank you Mommy, for giving me life. I lived today because of you”

I vow to do this everyday.

I realized that I was so quick to say Thank you that I did not clearly comprehend that today’s game is to  “Thank someone who brings beauty into your life.” Which makes me think “Who brings beauty into my life?”

Who I truly want to thank for the beauty in my life is God.

I thank God for the yellow rays of light that brightens our warm days.

I thank God for the white clouds and blue skies that lift our head up and lifts our spirits.

I thank God for the green grass and sweet scents of colorful flowers that can make us smile.

These are the true beauties in my life that I am grateful for.

~~ Many Blessings to you ~~

Share your pain, share your story, find peace from saving another.

*a great lesson learned today

Thank the person you hurt because they have given you a conscious.

Inspirational Words in this text

“Release yourself from the path that broke your heart” – Sandy Kulkin

Our church blessed us with the guest appearance of Sanford Kulkin who was full of charisma, humor and wisdom in the name of God. ❤

As I have spent the past year aligning my steps with God I have come to find that there is always room for MORE ENCOURAGEMENT, MORE INSPIRATION, MORE EMPOWERMENT.

And his guest appearance today proved just that.

Bishop Thompson and his wife are so encouraging, so inspiring and so empowering with their messages of how blessed life will be when our steps are aligned with God.

Pastor Matt and his wife have been so encouraging, so inspiring and so empowering with their messages of how blessed life will be with our steps aligned with God.

And occassional guest speakers such Sandford Kulkin have been so encouraging, so inspiring, so empowering of how blessed life will be with our steps aligned with God.

I can't resist repeating this….

Life will be so ~~blessed~~ when we align our steps with God.

And there is always room for more inspiring, encouraging, empowering people to repeat the same message with their own testimonials.

Hearing him say

“Release yourself from the past that broke your heart” – Sandy Kulkin

has inspired the thought that I need to release myself from my heartbreaking past so that I can move forward to a future that is bigger, better and brighter.

He has added fuel to my faith that has grown with the help of Bishop Thompson, his family and his friends who preach at Jubilee and I am growing more and more grateful to have found Jubilee.

Inspirational Wisdom in this text

– “At times I wish I could hurry up and get to the good part…I want to see what it is going to look like…I just want to hurry up and get there….I have to fight the urge not to dream, but do…There needs to be a balance of dreaming and doing, if I am going to push forward and go. But I do have some issues that if I let them will either drive me crazy or stop me in my tracks.” – GoodGirlGo*

-” Beauty in this world is as misconceptualized as the thought of America
“They prettiest people do the ugliest things”
Lowering to one night stands and college flings
Because standards were set high before self confidence even began” -Excerpt from the Poem “Beautiful” – ©Aaron Owens 2012**

I discovered GoneGirlGo and Aaron Owen’s inspiring words in Endless Dreams Foundations’ Community Corner and HOW inspired I was; to read and relate to their words!

“”At times I wish I could hurry up and get to the good part…I want to see what it is going to look like…I just want to hurry up and get there….I have to fight the urge not to dream, but do…There needs to be a balance of dreaming and doing, if I am going to push forward and go. But I do have some issues that if I let them will either drive me crazy or stop me in my tracks.”
– GoodGirlGo*

has inspired NEW perspective between reflecting on the visions I wish to accomplish and actually taking action to achieve them! It is so true that there needs to be a balance of both in order to push forward. Too much Dreaming can hinder your ability to Act…To much Action can distract you from your true Vision. She has inspired the thought that Your Vision Leads Your Steps, Your Steps Achieve your Vision. And I am empowered to practice what she preached!

She also inspired such exciting empowering thought that – The day will come! All successes comes from a collection of accomplishments achieved one day at a time! –

I am on the mission to accomplish a collection of success one day at a time which will manifest GREAT ACHIEVEMENT!

So Inspired!

-” Beauty in this world is as misconceptualized as the thought of America
“They prettiest people do the ugliest things”
Lowering to one night stands and college flings
Because standards were set high before self confidence even began”
-Excerpt from the Poem “Beautiful” – ©Aaron Owens 2012**

“Because standards were set high before self confidence even began…….”

Yes Yes Yes! Can you see the truth in those words?!

I was one to fall victim to such poor standards.
Victim to who had the cutest hair style; who had the most popular brand of clothes and shoes; who attracted the most friends and the cutest boyfriend and girlfriend.

There was no time to think of self-confidence when such poor standards overpowered my thoughts more so then the little self confidence I tried to practice at home.

And how ironic is to encounter a number of men and women of superficial beauty which only covers a soul of ego, selfishness, entitlement, indifference, and greediness.

These characteristics are not holy and will not receive blessings from God. So I work hard to “stifle” any influences that will encourage those characteristics!
