You know how there are before and after weight loss photos or before and after car restorations?

Well here is a before and after of a necklace full of sweet treats!

Before

After

I can clearly remember enjoying a candy necklace more than once throughout my childhood! And I for one want to be a parent who will share all things that made me smile as a child – but – a candy necklace will not be one of them.

As an aspired fitness advocate, candy necklaces will continue to stay a part of my past and fruit necklaces will be a part of my child(ren)s future.

I am inspired to show them a candy necklace one day to teach a healthy lesson of choice. That is after he/she or they are very comfortable with the habit of making and enjoying fruit necklaces and old enough to pay attention to quality ingredients.

I can’t wait to make this with my child(ren) one day! #GodWilling ❤ ❤ ❤

I am even more excited to make this healthier alternative to popsicles!!

Dark Chocolate Covered Kiwifruit

Kiwifruit – peeled and cut in 1 inch thick rounds, with a popsicle stick in each round. Freeze on a tray in the freezer.

1 cup Chopped dark chocolate and 1/2 cup Coconut oil – melted over a double boiler, then cooled to room temp.

Dip each Kiwi-pop into the chocolate mixture (it will immediately turn crispy) and place on a tray to refreeze or pass around right now.”

I am so so afraid of standing still. I am so afraid of finding myself in the same unsatisfied and unaccomplished place that I feel I am in right now. I don’t want to be in this place next year!

“Be not afraid of moving slowly; be afraid of standing still.” is a lifesaver. There are days where I would lose motivation and find myself at a “plateau”. These words have helped empower me to continue moving forward at my own pace. Although my pace is slow due to inconvenient circumstances; each day that I push forward only pushes me one day closer to my goal and so I refuse to stand still.

When you don’t hear those words above enough one tends to forget such common sense. The more I see those words, the more the meaning starts to sink in and turns from inspired thought to inspired action.

Reading that success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out has given me so much RELIEF! I feel better to think that I am on the right track moving at the pace that I am in. I do feel that I need to pick up the pace though because my level of urgency has diminished a bit due to emotional adversity. Coming to better understand that the small steps that I am taking will sum up to the success I wish to reach has fueled my passion to achieve!

I’ve come to realize with such clearer understanding that mistakes are not meant to make you feel inadequate and unworthy of success.

Mistakes are not opportunities for you to quit.

Mistakes are opportunities for growth and improvement.

In the past, when I made a mistake I would be so quick to respond with harsh words to myself. I didn’t need anyone to discourage me because I was my own worst critic! I got in the way of my own success with such a negative and uninspiring attitude.

It’s time to let go of the thoughts that do not make me strong.

With practice all of these inspiring words will become normal thoughts and normal actions. This is what I aspire to achieve.

~ Today’s Inspired Thought ~

With one life to live and that one life to enjoy, can you truly afford to fulfill another person’s dream instead of your own?

Especially if that profession is not part of your passion?

If the profession you have been hired into is not part of your passion, you cannot afford to sacrifice your dream for another’s.

When I speak of affordability, I don’t speak of it financially. I speak of it mentally and spiritually.

We cannot mentally and spiritually afford the growth of regret and the feeling of failure that most likely will hit us when we grow old enough to start looking back and wishing that we could of lived our life a whole lot differently.

Think of all the time and energy you have invested in your job so far that has yet to fulfill what you truly desire but it has helped fulfill the desires of your boss or CEO. (More than one vacation, personal luxuries and financial freedom.)

If you desire the reward of more than one well deserved vacation, unlimited personal luxuries and financial freedom do all you can to start off slowly and work your way up to momentum.

I am so grateful for these motivational words:

“It doesn’t matter how slow you go, as long as you don’t stop.”

If you can’t fulfill your dream Full time, do all you can to at least start fulfilling it part time.

1 hour a day, 3 hours a day or 5 hours a day. At the end of your days you will smile knowing that you did not give in and throughout your lifetime you have fulfilled most if not all that you have set your mind to.

With one life to live, I sincerely hope you achieve All.

~ Here is my sincerest wish for you: ~

~ Today’s Inspired Thought ~

If you think you are WORTHY to achieve, you are RIGHT.

If you think you lack and are NOT WORTHY to achieve, you are RIGHT.

Your success is determined by how you think. Your thoughts determine your actions. Your actions will always be fueled by what you believe. If you think you CAN, you will seek and act with all possibilities. If you think you CAN’T you will do little to nothing.

What are your thoughts on what you wish to achieve right now? Do you THINK you CAN or do you THINK you CAN’T?

~ Inspired Action ~

Each day that I struggle toward the life that I want to live, the more I come to realize that I can’t afford to think “I can’t” anymore.

I have come to think “I MUST”, “I HAVE TO”, “THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION”

I only have one life to achieve all that I desire.

So I MUST practice the wise words to ~ Erase my mind of Can’t. ~

I have indeed found this to be a challenge. Because within the past 20 year of my life, I have repetitively gave up on myself  and my abilities to  achieve small and great tasks that I truly had the potential to achieve. But that was the past, I no longer live there anymore.

I am of a new age and I live in a new day. My tomorrows are a clean slate and so the next 20 years of my life I wish to repetitively achieve all small and great tasks that I have in mind.

~I wish that you encounter all the strength and wisdom necessary to give you the power to Erase Your Mind Of Can’t and ACHIEVE all that you desire. ~

Ladies: When it comes to working out, every single one of us (no matter what age or nationality) share the same goal.

That goal is: To Look GOOD: anytime, any place, every day!

We all share the same goal above but many of us do not share the same perspective on how to get there.

While we share the same goal we all need to share the same understanding that in order to look good and keep on looking good well into our 30s, 40s, and 50s!….. “GOOD HEALTH is the key ingredient to true beauty.”

No fad diet or quick fix will ever come close to what you will get with GOOD HEALTH!

So keep your plates CLEAN, your workouts CONSISTENT, your patience and motivation FIRM and PERMANENT results will come your way!

What great visual perspectives! I am so happy and relieved to say that I am not the same person I was years ago where I would rather turn to a can or bottle of soda wherever I could purchase it or request it rather than a bottle of water. The old me adored Orange Soda, Grape soda, Lemon Lime Soda at any time and at any day but the older I got, the more aware I have become that indeed we ARE what we EAT and DRINK!

Seeing these photos reinforces and validates my reasons to avoid drinking Soda 7 days a week! Now I am done to once a month or none at all until the next family occasion. And I am even smacking my head saying DOH! (like Homer Simpson!) for slipping on two occasions; giving in to the option of soda pop at a barbeque and children’s party. But I am proud to say that Soda is no longer a natural option for me at home or when I am out and about on my own; and these photos above only help seal my reasons why. And that is to avoid living a Diabetic Lifestyle because my grandmother suffered from the complications of it and my mother is working on controlling it and I am not interested in following suit.

~~~ I wish you and your loved ones the best of Health! ~~~
It has become OH SO CLEAR that I have ONE LIFE to live and this clear awareness makes this message connect with me SO WELL!
REALLY!!…..What is the point?!
What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something ~~Remarkable!~~
I want to live a remarkable life! I want to die with no regrets! I want to die exhausting all the gifts that God has blessed me with.
I want to achieve financial freedom remarkably. I want to achieve physical fitness remarkably. I want to achieve a successfully loving marriage remarkably. I want to achieve my purpose remarkably. I want to serve others remarkably. I want to live my life remarkably!
What’s the point of living if I do the opposite?!
We only have one chance to enjoy the life that was given to us and I would love for someone to read my life story and say “Simply Remarkably!”
And I’d like to do the same with yours!
Such wise words in this text
“If we doubted our fears instead of doubting our dreams, imagine how much in life we’d accomplish. – Joel Brown
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How many different ways do we need hear such wise words to GET IT? To finally invest all our energy of doubt towards our fears instead of investing  the energy of doubt towards dreams??

What will it take for many of us to break out of our comfort zone and break us out of our cycle of fear and doubt???

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The more I read such wise words, the stronger my faith grows inch by inch towards accomplishing all the vision I have in mind. I am now inspired to say that “I doubt my fears.”
I DOUBT MY FEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never heard anyone say such words and I deeply needed these words yesterday, last month, last year, even this past decade!!
But my eyes are wide awake to pay attention to them today, maybe more so awake and attentive than the person I was 10 years ago; so I am deeply grateful to see them and to truly pay attention to them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And so I conclude that I needed those words TODAY!

My faith and focus has grown an inch higher and I now have more courage to say that “I will practice no longer investing doubts in my dreams, instead I will invest those doubts in my fears!”

Wow…. My thoughts and actions have truly been inspired tonight! ❤ ❤ ❤

Just Eat Right and of course Exercise to seal the deal! That’s all it takes to keep your high school figure (if your a teenager); to get back to the slimmer you (if your a new mother); or to get to a leaner muscular you (if your a man).

I have been working in the fitness industry for about 4 years now and it’s amazing how much of a challenge it is for many to count calories especially when they desperately need too. There was a point where it was a challenge for me to keep track as well!

But why do we hate counting calories?…

The true question is Why do we count calories in the first place?

Many centuries ago before words were spoken and before words were written. Our ancestors did not count calories. Our ancestors lived off the land. Lived off of what was available to them. And their bodies were so much leaner and better because of it. Plus they were so much more active. Their ability to function on a day to day basis was based on outdoor activity throughout the majority of their days and indoor activity was little too none until the sun goes down.

As civilization evolved and prized recipes were shared from one culture to another. Generations of our families now have an option to prepare Italian flavors one day, Chinese another day, American the next day and back to their own ethnic food the next day and repeat.

We have so many options to choose from, especially when we live in America where many trees that once was roamed by our ancestors have now been replaced with Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dunkin Donuts, Convenience stores that sell a wide array of 1 dollar candy, 1 dollar chips,  1 dollar chocolates, 1 dollar soda and the list goes on!

So why do we count calories now when our ancestors did not count them back then? And why do many of us hate counting calories?

Because our families eat so much more today and move so much less. Our families function so much more indoors instead of outdoors. Our homes are built for us, instead of us building it ourselves. Our ability to travel great distances by foot or by horse carriages has been conveniently been replaced by cars, trains, and planes. Most job opportunities  are available in office/desk settings or truck/bus/taxi driving instead of up on foot and out in about.

The mailman gets more exercise than the average employee! And if you are are not a professional athlete, exercise can be little to none nowadays until we wait until it hurts.

Until it hurts to look at ourselves in the mirror, until our backs and knees hurt from the extra weight we slowly but surely gained throughout our sedentary years, or until our heart, kidney and/or liver finally gets exhausted from doing their best to adjust to the extra workload we put them through from all the extra food we feed our bodies without much needed exercise.

Counting calories is now a necessity. Because our cultures have been introduced to a wide array of meals, snacks and drinks to choose from we have developed a greater sense of craving. And with a greater sense of craving comes a desire to eat to please our tongue and our mind more so than to please our body.

And our bodies become a victim of abuse. Abuse of overeating.

We count calories because we have lost control of what is most important. We’ve lost control of our longevity. When one becomes overweight or obese and is diagnosed with conditions from diabetes or high blood pressure. It is evidence that we have lose control of our longevity and so we must count calories to get back in control.

We hate counting calories because  we feel like our freedom is taken away from us. Our freedom to enjoy what we want, how much we want, when we want. Because we don’t have time to sit and count. Because we didn’t grow up doing it and it’s not a natural habit. Because it reminds us of health problems.

But counting calories keep us in control, keeps us aware, keeps us in check in making sure that we are giving our bodies the proper energy and nutrients it needs in order to function properly. That is the importance of counting calories…because our lives depends on it if you wish to live another 10, 20, 30, 40 years! We have only one life and we should put all efforts to conserve it.

The image above can relieve us of our hate of counting calories.

Thinking back to the time of our ancestors. No doubt they indulged in the “fruits” of their land and they did not gain much weight because they ate right.  It really isn’t about eating less chips, burgers, pizza and drinking less soda and juice. It’s about eating right.

The right way to eat is to eat more of the “fruits” of our land rather the production of boxed, canned and bagged items that are man made creations.

I always tell myself that anything man-made has serious consequences.

So I do my best to stay conscious of the foods I eat by asking myself such questions as:

Did most of what I am eating grow from the ground or from trees?

Is it organic or was it made in a factory?

Is this plate a picture of quality or quantity?

Will this help me live longer or will this make me sicker?

Weight loss is not hard! We just make it so.
